Can you talk about resumes for graduate chapter? Would we add some of those things we did in undergrad to those resumes?

That happened to me just recently. The membership chairs were so nice. They called me ahead of letters being sent. They were worried how I would take it. I've been a fan of the organization for years. I like this chapter. There's another chapter in town with several members in my church. But I chose this o e because I knew they would push me out of my comfort zone. I went to the college where 3 of the 4 Black sororities were founded. I knew a little bit about all 3. Back then I wasn't interested in Greek life. The irony is that the Alpha chapter of the organization approached me in undergrad, and I said no. As a working adult, I decided it could enrich my life. I chose the best organization out of the 3. I was going to try. Then, my parents( divorced, living in two different states-exhausting) both got sick. So, I had to put it on the back burner for a while. Now, they're both gone. I tried to join in my previous state. But then, I had to move and start all over. This was 3rd try essentially. I'm in my 50s. I don't have a lot of time left. My grandmother didn't even make it to this age. The MIPs told me it was close.They are so sweet and tried to encourafe me. My head understands, but to my heart, it's giving that there are members who are saying, "We don't want you. You're not worthy." I'm trying not to get discouraged. Who knows when they'll have another line?! They only do them every couple of years. 😥

My friend stated she lost interest after not being selected and was approached by a different organization. Are there rules to finding a different chapter that likes you and you become interested?

Most orgs ask if you've ever been part of another org, so I do not believe anyone would be allowed to qoute, unqoute, switch orgs.

Sadly, letter wearers can't be avoided. See them in EVERY ORG, smh.

If you're interested in any org, stick to nuetral colors like white, black, grey, dark blue, maybe beige when attending any events.

-Always ask the dues and initiation fees. Yeah, everyone is different, but you are asking the people for the chapter that you want to join so you need to know their answer. - Its ok to ask what is expected of you. Of course they wont tell you all the details because some things are secret, but you cant expect people to want to join but you dont tell them ANYTHING. -Someone asking how to be recruited sounds like they are asking how to join. I think that is a reasonable question. I agree with your other NO questions tho. Those are kinda socially awkward lol.

Good point. Which reminds me that I should have been more discreet about my love for the famous guys who I loved with all my heart. With my stupid self I just kept on pouring my out to my negative family about them & there were times that I got dragged down. Every time they done that I felt like a nobody. Like I was beneath those guys or something. That hurt me so bad. Now I decided to make some discreet boundaries, which that what I should have done years ago. Great video.

The most common thing I hear about this movie is that it only shows the negative. But I think it doesn't have to show the positive we see Greek life being pushed into a positive light constantly but nobody ever talks about the dark side of it and what happens before everybody is seen as part of the org and the point of it was to have an open mind and understand that sometimes on the road to brotherhood/sisterhood a lot of things happen that contradict that. There's a lot of ways to build someone's character and show brotherhood/sisterhood without abusing them but generally the option to abuse is what's chosen and that's honestly all the movie was trying to explain. People will have to decide for themselves if they're going to join D9 but ultimately it told the truth that really needs to be told more often.

I’m in my gap year right now. 3-4 days a week for at least an hour. Still need to work on my consistency but I need the kick in the but to sit down and study with minimal distractions.

My inability to be discreet is by far my worst trait. I wish I could be more serious at work and joke less with colleagues and clients

When Jesus words are written down and Satan is using them, then the bible becomes the word of Satan. Constantine (1st) beast compiled 50 bibles, legalized Christianity and set up the false prophet (pope).
